I heard this quote the other day and I wanted to share it.

“Our failures are known, our successes are not.”

As I have thought about this, I have decided that it is as equally important to have successes known as well.  If you want to succeed as a company, you must show praise to the people who have made you successful.  This is part of our business model at West Coast Security Concepts.

Companies fail because the do not take the time to give employees the recognition deserved, they become unhappy and morale begins to destroy your business, or business unit.  Large Security Firms fail to realize that it is not management that makes the business successful, but the employees that they hire and place into contracts.  A happy employee will work diligently to ensure that the client’s needs are met, and company policies and post orders are carried out.

Hiring Standards:

It is important for all Security Firms to hire the right personnel to fit for the contracts that they are hired for by the client.  West Coast Security Concepts operates by the promise of not hiring “just another warm body” to fill a post.  Each of our employees are thoroughly screened from the time they apply to the time they are placed on a post.  Our hiring standards start with a test that must be passed with a minimum of 90% before receiving an interview.  The interviews are conducted in a oral board fashion that mimics that of civil service.  After the oral board is complete, the panel will review the test, along with any notes taken during the process.  If the candidate passes this phase, they will be offered a position, and assigned a date to begin the training process.
